2018 Artistic Gymnastics British Championships

Britain's best artistic gymnasts competed to packed crowds at the Liverpool Echo Arena 8th - 11th March.

Kelly Simm and Brinn Bevan were crowned all-around British champions.

Nile Wilson didn’t compete in the all-around event, but dominated on the rings, parallel bars and high bar, taking the top spots. Max Whitlock MBE was on top form on pommel taking the gold, with Dom Cunningham powering to the vault title and Frank Baines showing some clean and concise work on the floor to be crowned champion.

Manchester City Ladies v Chelsea Ladies WSL

Manchester City showed fighting spirit to come from 2-0 down to rescue a point at the Acadamy Stadium this afternoon.

First half goals from Millie Bright and Ji So-Yon saw Chelsea finish the first half 2-0 up. but in the second half, goals from Nikita Parris and Georgia Stanway saw City rescue a valuable point in the race for the title.

Sale Sharks v Saracens - Aviva Premiership

Sale came up against a determined Saracens side at the AJ Bell on Friday night.

Saracens forced a number of errors from Sale that eventually proved costly.

Liam Williams scored the only try of the match with a solo effort darting in from the right hand touchline and evading Will Addison's tackle. Spencer made the conversion.

Sale pushed in the second half, but couldn't find a way through a stubborn Saracens defense.

Manchester City Ladies v Liverpool Ladies WSL

Manchester City ladies returned to the top of the WSL with an emphatic 4-0 win over third place Liverpool.

The game started with a bizarre goal from Nikita Parris when Sophie Ingle cleared the ball straight at the head of Parris with the resulting deflection beating a hapless Becky Flaherty in goal.

Parris got a second goal along with Abbie McManus and Izzy Christiansen from the spot.

Liverpool Ladies v Arsenal WSL

Liverpool lost the WSL match 3-0 to Arsenal Ladies at the Select Security Stadium on a cold Wednesday evening in Halton.

Beth England came close  a couple of times but was unable to breach Arsenal's defence.

Arsenal's scorers were Meidema 29 (pen), Janssen 45, Evans 62

Liverpool Ladies v Watford Ladies WFAC

Liverpool produced a strong performance to beat Watford 5-0 at the Liverpool County FA ground on Sunday.

Beth England, Ali Johnson, Caroline Weir and Martha Harris were the scorers.

It sets up a fifth round away tie against Chichester City Ladies on Sunday 18th February.

Liverpool Ladies: Flaherty, Harris, Greenwood (Pike), Turner (Rodgers), Roberts, Ingle, Longhurst, Johnson, England (Clarke), Weir, Hodson.
